Sponsored by CHONG WAI Medical Instruments Co., Ltd., the "Love to the Highest 3886 Let Love Spread" extreme self-challenge event is about to begin! From July 6 to 8 this year, a running team of 200 people will be divided into 30 teams, each consisting of 7 members and accompanied by a support vehicle, to undertake the challenge in a "human-vehicle relay" format. Participants will start from NTU, with each person running a 10 km relay to the trailhead of Xue Mountain. After completing 178 km, they will challenge the main peak of Xue Mountain at 3886 meters. The donations and supplies raised from this event, totaling 2.3 million TWD, will be distributed to seven rural and tribal schools to improve the learning environment for the children. Renowned ultra marathon runner Mr. Kevin Lin will also participate.
The press conference for the event was held at the College of Management, National Taiwan University. Guests included NTU College of Management Dean Mr. Xing-Yang Hu, President of Taipei Long-distance Running Rotary Club Chi-Ming Kao, ASE Senior Vice President Mr. Kuang-Hsiung Chen, and NTU EMBA Alumni Foundation Chairman Mr. Chi-Ming Chien. The event initiator Mr. Zhang-Wei Huang, who is currently challenging the "2024 Gobi Desert World’s Four Major Polar Marathons" with celebrities Mr. Ren-fu Wang and Mr. Kevin Lin, stated, "We want to give back to society through running, spreading love to the highest point."
